National Transportation Safety Board Academy
- Established in 2001, the NTSB Academy is a new organization within the Safety Board.
The Academy's prime purpose is to train NTSB investigators and employees to perform their work in accordance with NTSB rules, techniques and philosophy. In August 2003, the Academy moved into its new facility on the campus of the George Washington University in Ashburn, Virginia.

Transportation Safety Institute
- Established in 1971, the Aviation Safety and National Aircraft Accident Investigation School provides aircraft accident
investigation and aviation safety training to Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) employees, other Federal, state and local government
agencies, as well as other International governments and the commercial aviation industry. The school utilizes associate and contract
instructional staff from the FAA, NTSB, and the commercial aviation industry.

Cranfield Safety and Accident Investigation Centre
- Based on the AAIB's considerable international experience, the aim of this school is to bring together people from many areas of aviation activity to evaluate how accidents happen and provide a sound basic knowledge of all the requirements, procedures and techniques associated with accident investigation and prevention. They offer two and six week course primarily designed for personnel from all parts of the civil aviation industry.
